Yes, that's right, I'm packing up the truck and moving over to Blogger. Our last active day here at Xanga will be February 28, 2007. After almost 1,500 days (1,495 actually) and many posts, I'm finally following through on the long-rumored changes.

What do you need to know?  Let's do some Q&A, shall we?

Q: I want to update my "favorites" -- what will the new url be?

A: Well, as of March 1, you can check things out over at the new address: http://NotTheRock.blogspot.com. This site will continue to exist for as long as Xanga exists and will effectively serve as four-plus years worth of archived material.

Q: But I can still go to the original NotTheRock.com in order to get to you, right?

A: Unfortunately, no. I mean, for now you can but I'll be pulling the plug on that before long, too. I'll keep you posted but don't expect it to hang around much more than another month or so. I don't ever update it and it's simply cluttering up the Internet and, hey, it actually costs money to keep up and running. So screw it. I'll probably try to transfer over material to the new site or archive it elsewhere if you're really intent on reading any of that old drivel.

Q: What else is changing? The content? The witty banter? Please, god, I hope so.

A: Nope, not much else. Same great taste, but less filling. And it'll be easier to comment.

Q: Will it look different? I'm so used to the color and format and I'm not good at dealing with change.

A: Yes, it'll look different. At first I was thinking of keeping it the same but some change might be good. And I also think it'll be considerably less cluttered than this here Xanga site.

Q: Aren't you going to give this up soon to write a book rather than wasting time on the Internet?

A: Shut up.
